Firehouse Goulash

Ingredients


2 Lb Ground Beef

2 Lb pork sausage

1 onion

3 LB Boxes (3LB) Spiral Pasta

3 290z Cans Tomato Sauce

2 6oz Cans Tomato paste

16 oz Sliced Mushrooms

½ Cup Italian Seasoning

¼ Cup Black Pepper

3 TBS chili powder

3 TBS Cayenne Pepper

Dash of crushed red pepper



Directions

Brown Ground Beef, Pork sausage and onion together. Drain and set aside.

In a stock pot, combine sauce, paste, mushrooms, Italian seasoning, Black pepper, chili powder, and cayenne pepper. Seasonings can be adjusted to taste. Add meat mixture and let simmer.

Boil pasta until desired texture and drain.

Add pasta to sauce, stirring slowly to mix. Continue to simmer to desired temperature.

1 bag of frozen corn can be added to the sauce early if desired for taste and color.

Feeds 10-12 easily. Cut in half if needed and enjoy. Serves well for leftovers
