Oswego Fire provides a very diverse fire prevention approach. Everything from evaluating businesses plans for fire safety, emergency exits, performing inspections on fire systems, and reviewing response plans are all a part of prevention of fires from happening in the first place! They are also tasked with keeping our Sign Program going. This provides home address signs to homes in the community that are un-incorporated or in rural areas of the district. These signs are free to the community and are installed by firefighters at no cost! These signs are all designed to help aid fire department personnel to hard to find addresses or dimly lit areas. These drastically reduce the response time in these areas. This and many other programs like it are part of why it is so important that our friends at Oswego Fire get this referendum passed.
