Emergency Medical Services

Oswego Fire Protection district provides Advanced Life Support or ALS services to the citizens of Oswego. In order to be prepared for the thousands of medical emergencies OFPD responds to, they require constant training. One other need is to keep equipment up to date. Medicine is an ever changing field, and with that comes new technologies. An interesting fact is that a new Cardiac monitor costs around $44k! OFPD uses these monitors every single day and they collectively operate over 6,000 times per year including training. This creates a need for regular maintenance and quality control to ensure we are getting the best possible care around!
